Worship at Saint Giles follows the Anglican tradition with the main services following Common Worship of the Church of England.
Readings are taken from the Revised Common Lectionary.
The 8:00am service is a Said Eucharist with Holy Communion and follows Order 1 – Traditional language.
The main Sunday Eucharist (9:30) follows Order 1 using Eucharistic prayer B and is a sung mass with hymns from Hymns Old and New, accompanied by the Church Organ and a full choir. A family service is held, usually on the first Sunday of the month. On this occasion, Eucharistic Prayer A or H and the Apostles creed are used and music is more child centered.
The 6:30pm service is usually a Sung Evensong without communion. It uses the Book of Common Prayer and music from the English Hymnal. On the third Sunday we have Evensong and Benediction. On the fourth Sunday we have the more modern Breathing Space and on the fifth Sunday we usually have a Healing Service with laying on of hands and anointing available.
A Said Eucharist is held daily except Monday and Friday
