Thanksgiving Picnic and Blessing – Matlock St Giles
Come to the Thanksgiving Picnic, Siting of Bird and Bat boxes and Thanksgiving Walk on Saturday June 13th at 3pm – 5pm (If the weather is inclement, we will picnic inside before making our Thanksgiving Walk).
Picnic: Of course, the weather will be fine, bring a seat, food, sunscreen and/or parasol and spend some time just sitting with friends and soaking in the wonder of the churchyard. Drinks will be available in church. You could have a go at the ‘Treasure Hunt‘ or lend a hand putting the bird and bat boxes in place.
Thanksgiving Walk and Blessing of the Work: around 4.30pm we will process around the site led by Rev’d Katrina to give thanks for our churchyard and its wildlife and to ask God’s blessing on our efforts to help the fauna and flora flourish.
Please come and join in – even if it’s raining!
Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult to attend our events.
